You know something
needs to change. But
knowing it isn't
always enough.
You may understand exactly what you're doing. You know the pattern. You know the reaction.
You may even know where it came from. And yet, when the same situation arises,
your body responds before your thinking mind has a chance to intervene.
Gut Feeling Mind & Body Somatic based sessions with Linda Conder are designed to help you explore the patterns beneath your thoughts, emotions and behaviours and create the conditions for a different response.
The anxiety returns.
You shut down.
You overthink.
You become reactive.
You people-please.
You procrastinate.
You push yourself harder.
Or you repeat the behaviour you promised yourself you would change.
Many of the people I work with are intelligent, self-aware and highly capable.
They've read the books. They've listened to the podcasts. They've tried meditation, mindset work, counselling, personal development or simply told themselves: "I need to stop doing this."
But the pattern remains. Why?
Because not every pattern lives at the level of conscious thought. Sometimes your reaction has become deeply conditioned involving your emotions, body, nervous system and the meaning you've unconsciously attached to an experience.
You can't always think your way out of something your whole system has learned to protect you from.
More Space
Imagine noticing a situation that once triggered you and discovering that the reaction simply isn't as strong anymore.
More Choice
Imagine noticing a situation that once triggered you and discovering that the reaction simply isn't as strong anymore.
More Calm
Imagine noticing a situation that once triggered you and discovering that the reaction simply isn't as strong anymore.
It is about helping you develop greater capacity to experience life without being controlled by the same automatic patterns.
Gut Feeling Mind & Body (Somatic Based Sessions) is an interdisciplinary personal-development modality incorporating embodied and somatic processes designed to explore patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
Rather than only talking about a problem, the process invites you to notice what is happening in the present moment including thoughts, emotions, sensations and internal responses.
Together, we gently explore the pattern and work with what emerges. The aim is integration.
Instead of fighting a part of yourself, suppressing an emotion or forcing yourself to "think positively", we become curious about what your system is doing and why.
From there, a different response can become possible.
Written by Integral Alchemy creator Gavin Abeyratne, the book explores the philosophy, science and somatic principles behind the modality including why understanding our patterns intellectually doesn't always create lasting change.
You'll discover more about how Integral Alchemy approaches thoughts, emotions and behavioural patterns, the role of somatic work and neuroplasticity and the broader framework behind the process I use in my sessions.
Read the book first, explore the ideas and see whether this approach resonates with you.

You'll be taken to the official Integral Alchemy website to purchase the book. Disclosure: I may receive a commission if you purchase the book through this link, at no additional cost to you.
"I'm safe."
But your body is tense.
"I'm going to slow down."
Yet you find yourself pushing until you're exhausted.
"I don't care what they think."
But criticism still feels unbearable.
"You want a close relationship..."
While another part of you keeps pulling away.
These contradictions can be frustrating when we look at them purely through logic.
When we begin listening to the body as well as the mind, they often make much more sense.
— Keep repeating a behaviour or relationship pattern despite understanding it
— Feel anxious, reactive or overwhelmed in particular situations
— Struggle to switch off or constantly feel you should be doing more
— Find yourself people-pleasing or worrying about disappointing others
— Feel responsible for everyone around you
— Experience perfectionism or fear of getting things wrong
— Hold yourself back despite knowing what you want
— Feel stuck between what you know and what you actually do
— Experience recurring emotional triggers
— Feel disconnected from yourself or unsure what you really want
— Want greater calm, clarity and freedom in the way you respond to life
— Have done substantial personal-development work but feel there is another layer underneath it
You don't need to arrive with a perfectly defined problem.
Sometimes we simply begin with: "What's coming up for you at the moment?"
There is no predetermined script you have to follow.
We start with what is present for you.
We explore a current situation, reaction or behaviour you would like to understand or change. It might be something happening in your relationship, work, family, health journey or within yourself.
Rather than staying entirely in the story, I will help you notice the thoughts, emotions and physical sensations connected with the experience.
We become curious about the deeper pattern rather than judging or trying to suppress it.
Using Integral Alchemy processes, we work with what arises in the session rather than simply analysing it intellectually.
The intention is for you to leave with greater internal space, awareness and choice around something that may previously have felt automatic.
Every session is different because every person and every pattern is different.

For more than a decade, my work has focused on the relationship between the gut, brain, nervous system and overall health. I have seen repeatedly that health isn't separated into neat little boxes.
Your gut communicates with your brain. Your brain communicates with your gut. Your stress response changes digestion. Your physiology influences mood, cognition and resilience. And the way you experience your world influences your physiology.
This doesn't mean every physical symptom is caused by emotions.
It means the whole person matters. Nutrition and physiology remain enormously important. But sometimes another layer deserves attention too.
Because you are not simply a collection of symptoms. You are an interconnected system.

Linda is a Nutritional Medicine Consultant specialising in gut health, brain health and the gut–brain connection, with more than a decade of experience helping people understand the factors influencing their health and wellbeing.
Her fascination with the two-way communication between the gut and brain eventually led her to explore another part of this connection, how our emotions, experiences, beliefs and nervous-system patterns can influence the way we feel, behave and respond to life.
This led Linda to Gut Feeling - Mind and Body, an experiential approach that works beyond intellectual understanding to explore patterns within our thoughts, emotions and body.
Today, Linda brings these worlds together combining her understanding of physical health and the gut–brain connection with a deeper exploration of the patterns that can keep us feeling stuck. Her approach is warm, curious and practical.
Because sometimes knowing what needs to change isn't the problem, it's changing the pattern that keeps taking us back there.
This work asks you to slow down, listen to your body and sometimes explore things you may have carried for a long time. Who you do that with matters.
I am trained and personally mentored in Integral Alchemy by its creator, Gavin Abernethy, and bring this approach together with my experience in nutritional medicine, the gut–brain connection and understanding how prolonged stress can affect the body.
My approach is compassionate, gentle and completely non-judgemental. You don't need to have the right words, explain yourself perfectly or arrive knowing what you need to work on. We begin with what is showing up for you and gently explore from there.
I also bring years of experience working closely with people experiencing chronic health concerns, anxiety, overwhelm, fatigue and patterns that can be difficult to change through knowledge alone.
You will be listened to. You won't be judged. And you won't be pushed.
The aim is to create a space where you can feel safe enough to become curious about what your body, emotions and patterns may be trying to tell you and begin creating a different response.

You aren't coming into the room to be told what is wrong with you. We aren't trying to manufacture a better personality. And I'm not going to give you another list of things you should be doing. Instead, we become curious.
What is this pattern trying to do?
What happens when we stop fighting it?
What becomes possible when the old response no longer needs to dominate?
Sometimes the shift is subtle. Sometimes it is surprisingly significant. But the objective is the same: more freedom in how you respond.
Calm without withdrawing.
Boundaries without guilt.
Achievement without constantly pushing yourself.
Relationships without repeating the same conflict.
Rest without feeling lazy.
Confidence without needing everyone else's approval.
Emotion without being overwhelmed by it.
Ambition without running yourself into the ground.
And the ability to experience difficult moments without automatically becoming the version of yourself you have been trying so hard to change.
You don't need to commit to months of work. Bring something that keeps occurring in your life. A reaction. A fear. A relationship dynamic. A belief. A decision you can't make. A behaviour you don't understand. Or simply the feeling: "Something is keeping me stuck." We'll start there.
